The open ticket is a blanket term used to refer to the ticket which has gone to the next work-status, after being in new. Typically an open ticket is one on which a support engineer or someone from a relevant team has begun working on. The open ticket is basically a ticket in an open status, which could be, one of the following for instance:
Assuming each of the above terms was a status, each could be interpreted as an “Open Status” where work by a specific team was happening.
